Here’s a nifty little tool to ensure you’re making the most of your offline presence in sending people to your social media sites. We’ve compiled a super handy checklist to ensure you’re making the most of your ‘real world’ presence to promote your social channels so you can grow your online community and keep those customers coming back for more!
So what do we mean by “offline” to “online” and what do businesses stand to gain from it?
Offline to online
Offline and online refer to anything off social media and anything on social media, respectively. It’s only when a customer or a potential customer is on social media that we can actually engage with them fully and build a rapport.
Companies who have a significant ‘offline’ or real world presence, especially those ‘bricks and mortar’ businesses have loads of opportunities to get their customers or visitors to follow them on the social networks.
But they’re already in my store, why do I want to send them to social media?
There are heaps of great reasons to get your audience on social media!
Firstly, social media isn’t just about getting new customers, it’s about increasing repeat purchases from existing customers. Remember that having someone follow your social media accounts is basically like them subscribed to all of your social updates – this is seriously powerful.
You can also direct your customers to leave reviews on the web much more easily from social media. Great reviews on Google or TripAdvisor are key in influencing new customers’ decisions.
Loyal customers are also likely to be your biggest online super-fans! Having even a small group of people who like, comment on and share your content can seriously help your posts’ reach and engagement.
We’re convinced that companies everywhere are missing a trick with this, and relying too much on people finding them online without being directed there.
As you will know by now, we like to assist you in maximizing every opportunity to send people to your social media profiles. We’ve created this ‘offline to online’ analysis checklist, along with recommendations on what you can do.
