This one-to-one or small group half-day session is perfect for individuals or organisations looking to build their online brand or improve their internal operations. Organisations operating in the third sector face unique challenges and opportunities.

Working towards a range of goals, we’ve trained many charities and non-profits in social media management, regardless of their existing skill and knowledge base. Our sessions are designed around your requirements and held at our premises in Birmingham city centre, your office, or online via a video call.


In this half-day training, we’ll help you become the master of your online presence. Charities, non-profits, CICs and social enterprises tend to have slightly different goals for social media than fully commercial businesses. For this reason, much of the information online about social media management and marketing is not necessarily applicable to you.

Whilst raising funds is always a vital concern for charities, organisations like this also depend on social media for raising awareness of their cause, and educating the public about what they stand for. This requires a strategy that goes beyond simply marketing, and instead focusses on establishing and developing meaningful relationships with supporters and beyond.

The JC Social Media team has worked with many charities either managing their accounts or training them to do so. We’ll tailor the course content based on your social media goals and we’ll take into account the existing proficiency of you and the team.


Our sessions are designed to be one to one, or for small groups but larger groups can be catered for. Our half-day social media training course typically includes:

Social media theory and best practice relating to your organisation

Cross-platform strategy development

Upskilling you in key functionalities of major platforms

Content ideas and creation

Resource and tool signposting


We deliver training at our offices in Birmingham, at your premises or via a Zoom video call. If we travel to you, our travel expenses will be payable at cost.
